ASSIGNMENT


the submission date is: Tuesday 10th April 2012


Windows applications cannot be installed in Linux directly, and Linux applications cannot be installed directly on the Windows platform. Explain two of the methods of installing Windows applications in Linux. (use the following two methods: Virtualization and WINE <windows emulator>)

Instructions:

  • submit no less than 1 typed sheets, images and other materials can be added but the words typed should be able to fill at least one page
  • use microsoft WORD or a compatible word processor
  • line spacing of 1.15
  • font: Calibri
  • use standard margins
  • font color: black
  • make sure you indicate all references used in APA format. please not WIKIPEDIA is not a valid reference and as such should not be used.
  • the assignments should have a proper introduction, body and conclusion/closing remarks
All students should be reminded that this is an individual assignment, if your work turns out to be "similar" to another person, all parties grades will be reverted to 0.

GROUPWORK : PRESENTATIONS


the presentation date is: Monday 16th April 2012


Group Topics:
Instructions:

  • each presentation should be between 5 and 10 minutes
  • all groups should have a name of their choosing
  • the presentations should be done using microsoft powerpoint or other compatible presentation software
  • when creating your presentation, try as much as possible to have a clear introduction, historical background, body and conclusion
  • the presentation will be delivered by AT LEAST TWO MEMBERS of the group after which the class will ask questions aimed at the non-presenting members
  • any group member not available during the presentation (except without VALID DOCTORS LETTER will be given only 50% of their groups score)

marks will be awarded for the following:
(1) group attendance - 5 marks
(2) presentations skills - 5 marks
(3) content - 20 marks
(4) ability to answer questions - 5 marks
(5) presentation design, transitions and graphics - 5 marks
total marks: 40
